POTW 03.12It’s March Madness and this week’s pets are a slam dunk! Meet our teammates: Lulu is a seven-year-old Labrador/Pit Bull mix who still acts like a puppy, 10-year-old Little Girl is as sweet and affectionate as a kitty can be, and Mike is an 11-year-old turtle who is here with his friend, Morty. These adoptable friends are just missing one thing -- you!

You might hear Lulu before you see her! This talkative girl is just itching to go out for a walk and play with you! Lulu is 7-years-old and she is a mix of Labrador Retriever and possibly Pit Bull. She is short and stocky, and incredibly friendly; Lulu loves people! However, Lulu does not like other dog friends and will do well in a home with no other canine companions, as they make her nervous. At the shelter, this happy girl is getting extra enrichment so she doesn’t get bored, and extra toys and walks at home will also help her let her energy out. Come by our shelter and meet Lulu today! She can be yours for $175.

Little Girl not only has been with us before, but she came back at the beginning of February and somehow has still not been adopted! Little Girl is a black-and-white, 10-year-old short-haired cat who was previously named “Spook.” When she’s not napping or surveying her kingdom from a tall perch, Little Girl loves receiving pets and scratches from people! This cute kitty has lived with dogs before and enjoys playing with her canine companions. Although she likes dogs, Little Girl will need to go with a home without other cats. She’s a one-and-only kind of feline friend! A generous donor has sponsored Little Girl’s adoption fee, so she can go home with the perfect person today!

Meet Mike! Mike is here with his friend Morty, and these two turtles are 11 and 10 years old, respectively. Turtles can live for a long time in captivity, and these guys are looking for someone to spend their days with! Red-eared sliders are the most common type of pet turtle and are handleable, swim up to greet you, and enjoy eating treats! Semi-aquatic reptiles like Morty and Mike are happy in large tanks that provide both rocks to bask on and water to swim in. Morty and Mike are both waiting to meet you, so come by our shelter to say “Hi!” They can go home for $10 each.
