pdfAnimal Foster and Transfer Coordinator (Internal Applicants Only)
Regular Full-Time (40 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly

Internal applicants only at this time.  Larimer Humane Society is growing the Foster and Transfer team and is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Foster and Transfer Coordinator.  Our Coordinator positions are responsible for the Shelter’s animal foster care and animal transfer programs.  Position responsibilities are primarily coordinating foster care appointments, responding to foster volunteer needs and working with animal transfer partners.  Work tasks include coordination of foster care volunteer home inspections and recruiting, training and supervising department volunteers as well as coordinating the movement of animals in and out of foster care and to and from transfer partners.  The position will involve driving long distances and some overnight stays as needed.  Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in biology, animal behavior, animal husbandry, a related field or equivalent applicable work experience.  Minimum of one year companion animal care and handling required as is proven customer service experience.  Euthanasia and vaccination certification desirable.  The work schedule for the job will be five days a week including one weekend day.  Overtime and attendance at some events will be required.  Please include days and times of availability in cover letter.

Regular Full-Time (40 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly 

Larimer Humane Society is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Animal Protection and Control (APC) Officer. The Society’s APC        Officer positions are regular full-time, 40 hour per week, jobs responsible for enforcing State, County and City codes and ordinances governing animal control functions (e.g. field enforcement, licensing, animals at large, animal bite investigations, etc.) and includes animal handling and constraint. The position also performs the duties of an Animal Control Dispatcher.  Officers represent the organization in a professional, courteous and ethical manner at all times. Requires learning a wide range of policies, procedures and processes quickly and includes a significant amount of field work and animal handling.  Requirements include a minimum of one year animal care, animal welfare and/or animal handling in a professional position.  Proven clerical and math skills required.  Must be able to read and interpret ordinances, prioritize duties and multi-task within a busy work environment.  Proven emotional intelligence, work ethics and integrity skills.  English and Spanish bilingual skills and experience are a plus.  Ability to relate information to the public and staff in a concise, clear manner required as is the ability to work in direct contact with aggressive and injured animals.  Previous enforcement and/or dispatch experience a plus.  Solid computer skills required and knowledge of Chameleon software helpful.  The work schedule is generally 4x10 or 5x8, subject to business need, and includes one weekend day.  Compensated on-call overnight shifts are required as are holiday shifts.  Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings. Regular Full Time(40 hours), Non-Exempt, Hourly

Internal applicants only.  Client Services Representative (CSR) Lead positions provide leadership in the Shelter’s adoption, intake and call center areas.  They represent Larimer Humane Society in a professional and courteous manner and provide quality client services.  Requirements include six months of Larimer Humane Society CSR job experience or a minimum of 1-year lead/supervisor experience from pass applicable work experience.  Also required is a working knowledge of a wide range of Society policies and procedures, the ability to consistently enter complete and accurate data into our computer system, vaccination certification and the ability to serve as a role model for the department.  Must have emotional intelligence, work ethics, and integrity skills.  Our CSR Leads are chartered with formally supporting staff and volunteers, assisting with training, assisting with department operations and more.  This position is full-time and will include a weekend shift.   

Hiring range starts at $11.30 per hour.  Closes April 5, 2018, or when filled.

Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Licensing Assistant.  This is a regular full-time, 40 hour per week, position.   Our Licensing Assistants are responsible for processing animal licenses, rabies vaccination records and delivering associated customer service.  Assists the public by phone, email and in person.  The position work involves a significant amount of sedentary data entry and customer interaction.  Assists with bulk mailings and documentation pickups from partner clinics.  Requirements include a minimum of one year customer service experience as well as data entry experience.  Must learn licensing laws and regulations, rabies tag rules and regulations, and specialized software.  Necessary skills include solid computer and data entry skills, customer service skills, emotional intelligence skills, and work ethics and integrity skills.  English and Spanish bilingual skills and experience are a plus.  The work schedule for our Licensing Assistants is Monday through Friday with occasional weekends and evenings as needed.  Please review the full job description for qualifications and requirements and include days and hours of work availability, as well as start date availability, in cover letter.

pdfVolunteer Program and Humane Education Coordinator 
Regular Full-Time (40 hrs), Non-Exempt, Hourly   

Larimer Humane Society is seeking qualified applicants for our Volunteer Program and Humane Education Coordinator position.   The position reports to the Director of Development and Community Relations and is responsible for developing, implementing and coordinating all aspects of Larimer Humane Society’s volunteer program to assist in the delivery of the Organization’s programs and services.  This full-time position is also responsible for planning and overseeing the design and implementation of the Society’s youth and adult Humane Education programs and for ensuring programs adequately represent the Society’s ideology and policies.   Volunteer program work, coordinating our more than 600 volunteers, accounts for approximately 75% of position time.  Requirements include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and applicable work experience in volunteer management, education, communications, environmental studies or public relations; a minimum one year experience coordinating an organization’s volunteer program.  Minimum of one year of volunteer or staff supervisory experience required.  Proven project and program management, public speaking, training and event planning experience required.  Experience using volunteer management software, or comparable database management software, highly preferred.  Experience working with a variety of age groups from children to senior citizens preferred.   Experience presenting educational programs in K-12 classrooms a plus.  Animal/environmental welfare experience and knowledge of humane education a plus.  Applicants must be willing and able to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends as required.  Please indicate date of availability and salary expectations in cover letter.
